Chef Big John Youk
Chef John YoukBig John Youk got his first break in NASCAR pitting a car for James Hylton at “The Monster Mile” track at Dover International Speedway in 1980 and has been working the races ever since. This self-taught cook has worked with and fed some of the best NASCAR drivers and teams. He is a guest racing and cooking commentator on a weekly morning radio show and has been featured nationwide in numerous publications, newspapers, broadcasts, and books that cover the NASCAR scene.

As a mechanic, fuel man, and Goodyear technician for NASCAR over the past 25 years, Big John Youk knows all about pitting racecars in seconds flat. But he’s also made a name for himself as the man who brought great grilling to the speedway. Traveling with his teams to the country’s finest racetracks, he thinks the spatula and the wrench are equally essential.
