
Thomas Nasworthy didn’t always want to be a chef. He had dreams of being a professional baseball player when an injury changed his career path. As fate would have it, now Thomas is in the “big leagues” as the Executive Chef at Barcelona in North Scottsdale.
Having lived such exotic places as Japan and Portugal as well as the southern United States, Thomas settled in Scottsdale, Arizona when he attended the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Thomas was part of the opening team for Barcelona in Chandler. He worked his way up to Chef de Cuisine in Chandler and was again, chosen to be part of the opening team for Barcelona in North Scottsdale. Thomas was promoted to Executive Sous Chef of Barcelona in North Scottsdale over a year ago and was recently promoted to Executive Chef.
Thomas’s wife, Heather, also shares his love for the culinary arts. While her specialty is pastries, she is the kitchen manager for Barcelona in North Scottsdale working side by side with Thomas.
