Artist Wins National Contest Designing Scottsdale Culinary Festival's
2004 Artwork
Scottsdale,
AZ - (January 23, 2004) -
The Scottsdale League for the Arts recently conducted a nationwide search
for original artwork to celebrate the 2004 Scottsdale Culinary Festival.
The winning piece, by Arizonan Jenny Foster, was chosen from numerous
submissions.
The board collectively
chose Foster's contemporary piece for the way it reflects culinary interests,
its inspired color scheme vibrant design and its embodiment of the sense
of excitement surrounding the nation's longest running culinary arts
festival.
The artwork will
be used to represent the Festival in various collateral including the
poster, web site, brochure and advertising image. The artwork is currently
displayed on the Festival's web site at www.ScottsdaleCulinaryFestival.org
where you may also purchase the 2004 Festival
poster and have a chance to win the original art.
Foster is a distinguished artist with 20 years experience in the graphic
design field as well as a love of painting and sculpting. Jenny is a
graduate of Arizona State University where she studied fine arts. Her

The Scottsdale League for the Arts (SLA) is a non-profit volunteer organization
made up of concerned and caring individuals who invest their time and
effort to raise funds for the arts and art education programs. SLA contributes
to several Valley organizations, including the Scottsdale Center for
the Arts, the Arts in Education council, and the Scottsdale Museum of
Contemporary Art.
