Culinary Festival Brings Home The Gold for ...
"2004
Best Program"

Western Regional Arizona Festivals Conference
Scottsdale,
Arizona (September 27, 2004) - The
Annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival was awarded the Gold Award for
the "2004 Best Program - Over 20,000" and the Silver
Award for the "2004 Best Poster - Over 20,000" at
the AzTEC (Arizona Talent & Event Concepts) Awards Luncheon, part
of the annual International Festivals and Events Western Regional Arizona
Festivals Conference held at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort on
Tuesday, August 31, 2004.
The Scottsdale
Culinary Festival was selected by a panel of judges from a number
of other events held throughout the state.
Karolyn Kiburz,
owner of Meetings & Concierges Source, coordinator of the Culinary
Festival, was in attendance to accept the awards. "This year's
artist, Jenny Foster and the graphic designer, Kim Conway & Associates,
deserve acknowledgement for their considerable contributions."
"We have worked
with the Scottsdale Culinary Festival for the past five years and are
delighted to see all of their hard work and dedication recognized,"
said Kiburz. "This is the first time that we have submitted awards
on behalf of the Scottsdale League for the Arts and we are thrilled
that the Festival won two awards in its first submission."
Scottsdale League
for the Arts (SLA) contributes to several Valley of the Sun/Phoenix
organizations, including the Scottsdale Center for the Arts the Arts
in Education Council and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and
throughout the state.
SLA is a non-profit
volunteer organization made up of concerned and caring individuals who
invest their time and effort to raise funds for the arts and art education
programs. SLA is looking for positive and motivated people to volunteer
at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. It's a wonderful way to get involved
in the community and expand your knowledge about the arts and culinary
fields.
