Spring
Was In the Air
Beautiful Days & Nights Created the Perfect Setting for
The Great Arizona Picnic
(Scottsdale,
AZ) April 26, 2004
Scottsdales beautiful spring weather was the perfect backdrop
for foodies, families, and fun-loving crowds to meet for one amazing
weekend. On Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, April 18th,
the Great Arizona Picnic transformed the Scottsdale Civic Center
Plaza into a food lovers paradise.
The two day picnic provided an outdoor arena to sample culinary masterpieces
showcased by the Valleys finest chefs and restaurateurs. From
the young and hip to the mature and sophisticated there was something
for everyone at this years picnic.
Food lovers took their palates on a culinary adventure and while lounging
in the grass enjoyed continuous entertainment by the Groove Merchants,
Azz Izz, and over a dozen other bands. Garduños Margarita
Village served up frozen treats near the east gate while to the west
the Absolut Tent was the place to see and be seen as sun-kissed patrons
gathered in the shade and sipped a variety of cocktails featuring unique
Absolut Vodka flavors. The fun continued at the Southwest Festival
of Beers where over 250 different types of beer were available
to festival participants. A Kids Zone, complete with games and miniature
golf, helped make this years Great Arizona Picnic a hit
for the whole family.
