$200,000
to be Awarded for Arts Programs
Scottsdale League for the Arts is now accepting Grant Applications
(Scottsdale,
AZ) - Since
1992 the Scottsdale League for the Arts (SLA) has contributed more than
$1.4 million to support art and art education in the Valley. This summer
SLA is awarding grants on a competitive basis to non-profit agencies
providing direct services or activities related to the arts and art
education.
Approximately $200,000
will be available for allocation among ten to twelve organizations.
Any bona fide, Arizona non-profit organization that directly provides
services or programs/projects in the arts or art education may apply.
Fundable activities
include instruction and supplies for creative hands-on learning experiences
in the visual or performing arts, opportunities for children to observe
and experience the visual and/or performing arts, as well as opportunities
for community members to experience and appreciate the arts.
To be considered
for funding, the original grant application package along with one copy
and a tax exempt certificate must be completed and received at the Scottsdale
League for the Arts office by 4:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2004.

SLA is a non-profit
volunteer organization made up of concerned and caring individuals who
invest their time and effort to raise funds for arts and arts education

Memberships are
available for $135 annually. This is a fun way to become involved in
your community and expand your knowledge in the art and culinary fields.
