$75,000 to be Awarded for Arts Programs:
Scottsdale League for the Arts avails GrantsScottsdale, AZ - October 2002 - Since 1992 the Scottsdale League for the Arts has contributed more than $1.2 million to support art and art education in the Valley. This fall, the League is awarding grants on a competitive basis to non-profit agencies providing direct services or activities related to the arts and art education.
Approximately $75,000 will be available for allocation among five to ten organizations. Any bona fide, Arizona non-profit organization that directly provides art education programs or projects may apply.
Fundable activities include instruction and supplies for creative hands-on learning experiences in the visual or performing arts, and opportunities for children and community members to observe the and experience the visual and/or performing arts.
To be considered for funding, one original, one copy of the grant application package, and tax exempt certificate must be completed and received at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts office by 4:00pm on Wednesday October 30, 2002.
