Hope They Have the Recipe for Success:
Proceeds Benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Scottsdale
Wednesday, April 14, 2004
(Scottsdale,
AZ) February 12, 2004 --
What is
the recipe for success? Taste it for yourself on Wednesday, April 14th
at the Culinary Student Competition Awards Dinner. Honor outstanding
culinary students from around the country while enjoying their award
winning recipes on the beautiful Terrace Court at the Hyatt Regency
Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch.
The mailbags are
filling up as dozens of entries pour into the Scottsdale Culinary Festival
office for judging in the National Culinary Student Competition for
the best recipe. Countless student chefs throughout the nation will
enter, but only two will be selected winners in this prestigious contest.
"These young
chefs compete for the title of Student Culinary Master. It's really
exciting to see the winners and sample their cuisine," says George
Owen, Chairperson for the event. Students will be preparing their best
dishes for the tasting in hopes of winning this high honor.
See these recipes
come to life when you experience the winning creations from the Student
Culinary Competition served as appetizers preceding an exquisite four
course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Jim Palmeri which will be paired
with premium Mondavi wines. The winning students will be introduced
and presented with their $2,500 prizes.
Don't get up! Following
dinner, dessert will be served as you rub elbows with chefs, guests,
and the winners of the Student Culinary Competition. At evenings end,
sit back and relax while appreciatively puffing on a fine cigar provided
by Ford & Haig Cigars and taking in the sounds of guitarist Johnny
Carrasco, completing your delightful evening of gourmet fare and satisfying
and sinful dessert.
The event begins
at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale. Tickets are $100 and
can be purchased at www.ScottsdaleCulinaryFestival.org or call (480)
945-7193.
