Dear Volunteer,
The Scottsdale League for the Arts and the Scottsdale Cultural Council invite you to volunteer for the 27th Annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival.
Our signature event, the Great Arizona Picnic, provides great opportunities for volunteering and tasting the Valley’s finest culinary and beverage delights. Proceeds from the Festival benefit the arts and arts education programs throughout the Phoenix metro area.
Based on volunteer feedback, we’ve made a few improvements for you this year. First, to reduce the challenge of multiple shift changes, we’ve lengthened our shift times a bit and increased the number of food tasting coupons to 8 tickets per shift. We’ll schedule extra volunteers so we can cover breaks and make it more fun throughout your shift. Second, we’ve improved our parking and shuttle service to make it easy for you to get in and out of the festival. Third, we added a “come-back” pass for free Festival admission on your volunteer “off day.” And finally, we’ve scheduled volunteer training before the Festival to prepare you for your experience. Training will be held at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts in Stage 2.
We expect 50,000 guests this year, and for 27 years, our volunteers have made this event one of the finest culinary festivals in the nation. The Scottsdale League for the Arts promotes arts awareness and funds art programs at more than 15 organizations in the Valley. As volunteers, your gift of time and energy has contributed amazing things to our mission and we thank you.
